Cenote Casa
Casa Cenote connects one of‘ the longest undenzvater cave systems in the world, Nohbchgla Chiqh with the ocean.
It is one of the few surface rivers on the Yucatan peninsula. Located 10 km north of Tulum and 70 km south of Playa del Carmen.
The dive follows the course ofthe river at a depth of no more thalnlglm. Due to the connection with the ocean, both fresh and saltwater fish Iive here. The dive follows alongside the jungkgrg at timeithroqw algae covered Mangrove roots reaching into the water. Hgge rocks overgrown with mosses and green algae decoate the bottom.
Surfacing quietly at the end of the river, you might spot, diffegnt bird species, and with luck the Osprey, known as the Fishing Eagle. Along the sides of the cenote, there are small caves running ihto the jungle, frequently used by manatees inhabiting coastal rivers and lagoons.
